It's my birthday!

So yesterday was my birthday. I wanted to share a little bit about what I did and got.

Sunday the 14th of May was Mothers Day. We went to my aunt's house for dinner. There, we had lasagna and quiche, followed by some desserts like jelly, tiramisu and last but not least, the cake I made. I had prepared a Blondie Cake which is basically a white chocolate and caramel brownie turned into a cake. The recipe was my own which I had tested before. The original recipe that I tweaked had I think had 1 1/2 cups of sugar plus chocolate, but I only put 1/2 cup of sugar plus chocolate. I think it was perfect, but my mum says too sweet. Also, while we were there, my grandma gave me her present. It was a crisp, shiny $50 note! I also got a handmade pendant from my aunty which was really pretty. Anyway, after that, we went home and went to sleep.

Monday the 15th was my day. My school had a student free day which was great. I woke up to the smell of overnight porridge. Yeah, it wasn't special but with all the chia seeds, it was more like jelly with sultanas. Then, we had to drop my brother off at school. After that, my mum had to go to her choir. She sang for the chocolate lilies in Hurstbridge. I sat in the corner on my computer, waiting for her to finish. Once she finished, we dropped by the bakery and picked up some spinach and cheese pastries for lunch. Then, we went to my grandma's house, heated them up and ate them with her. They were very salty! After that, I got a present from her which was what I had been waiting for for a while - colour changing thinking putty. I played with it, then I had a rest.

After that, I met with a few friends at the movies. I didn't get to invite all my friends because mum didn't have enough tickets so I only invited 3 plus my brother. We walked around the shopping centre for a while, bought some spinners and then met my mum at the movies. From my friends, I got a really awesome spinner, some putty, a gift card and an adult colouring book. After that, we saw the movie. The one I picked was A Dogs Purpose. I didn't think it would be that good but I was surprised. In one part, I got a little watery-eyed but the rest was really funny. Overall, it was a great film and I definitely recommend it.

The movie ended at 5.30pm so we went straight home afterwards. I wasn't hungry, so my brother and mum had cornflakes for dinner. After that, my mum and I organised my birthday present which was a new phone plan with unlimited talk and text, with 1 gigabyte of data. I was so happy when we pressed confirm. I should be getting a new sim withing 5-7 days. After that, I went to sleep on a stack of pillows on my bed. It was the best sleep I had in weeks.

Overall, I had a great day. Despite the fact that I was slightly sick, I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was a very fun experience and I would definitely do it again. Next post will be on a photo... Stay tuned!
