Today's post will be a quick recount of my summer holidays. I'll start with my mum's birthday. My brother, dad and myself had planned a surprise birthday for my mum on the afternoon of her special day. It all went to plan - we came home to people, a clean house and PIZZA! I had made a lemon semolina cake the day before, so I got to syrup it and ice it that afternoon. The overall cake was better than I expected. It was low sugar and completely natural. Here's a photo:

After that, the holidays went fast. I signed up fr this reading club which, when you read 3 articles, puts you in the running to win either an Ipad Air 2 or a Samsung galaxy tablet. I though 'may as well'. So far I've read 12 articles.

Because I love photography, I decided to take a lens comparison photo with my two lenses. I chose some wood with an interesting colour and grain. I made sure I had some colour in the background because the wood was very brown. Here is the final product:

While I did the lens comparison photo, I also went out to take some photos for my Instagram account @tiny_cars_on_adventures. On this account, I take photos of a tiny red Peugeot on adventures. Here is my favourite photo from that batch - I call it negative space:

It was a nice day when I took the photo, so I wanted to get a picture with the sky. I really like this photo because of the concept of movement. I picked a quote to go with the photo. It looks like this:

Towards the end of the holidays, there was a beautiful sunset viewed from my kitchen window. I had the opportunity to take a photo of it with my best camera. Here it is:

Overall, these summer holidays were the best so far. The weather here in Australia was great - not too hot and sometimes rainy and miserable - my favourite. Next time I will be posting about different exercises for strengthening your upper body. See you next time!
